Our Story

Why We Started LoveArth

It began with a fight scene, a bag of almonds, and a breakfast cereal that lied about its sugar content.

I moved to Mumbai for an acting assignment. On paper, the hard part was supposed to be the physical prep — I had to get fight-ready to go up against Tiger Shroff on screen, which meant training like it, eating like it, sleeping like it. I assumed the training would be the difficult part.

It wasn't. Finding food that was actually what it claimed to be turned out to be harder than everything else about that assignment, combined.

The moment that started it

LoveArth began in our kitchen the day I checked the sugar content on my "healthy" breakfast cereal and found it carried more sugar in one pack than I thought a food calling itself healthy had any business having.

That's not a dramatic origin story. Nobody got sick. Nothing exploded. It was just a quiet, specific moment of realising I'd been trusting a label that hadn't earned the trust — and that if it had happened to me, paying close attention, it was almost certainly happening to a lot of people who weren't checking as closely.

A legacy older than the idea

What most people don't know is that LoveArth isn't the first thing my family has built out of a kitchen. My grandfather came to India from Pakistan with hardly any money and built a 60-year legacy around sweets sold outside temples. He named the business Laxmi — after the Hindu goddess of wealth, good fortune, and happiness — and my father scaled it further after him.

LoveArth runs under that same entity, Laxmi Industries, out of Nashik, Maharashtra. So when I talk about "continuing a legacy," it isn't a metaphor. It's the actual manufacturing address on the back of every pack.

I'd always had an unhealthy relationship with food growing up — bullied for being overweight, never quite comfortable in my own body. LoveArth is my attempt at fixing that for myself, and for anyone reading a label at 7am trying to make one good decision before the day gets away from them.

What it became

2019 — Ideation, formulation, and a lot of kitchen experimentation. LoveArth.in launches with 5 products.
2020 — Offline distribution begins in 3 cities, plus marketplaces and the first Daily Essentials range (18 SKUs).
2021 — We set up a facility capable of producing over 1,000kg a day.
2022 — We found our voice — and made a few honest mistakes along the way, including an early gummies line that was genuinely ahead of its time but pulled us outside our core focus.
2023–24 — Scaling, figuring out quick commerce, and re-centring on what LoveArth actually does best: clean-label whole foods, made honestly.

The hope, still

LoveArth is a hope for you to have a better relationship with food, and a better relationship with your body. Not a slogan — an actual goal, one we measure ourselves against every time we decide what goes on an ingredient list and what doesn't. If you've ever flipped a pack over and felt your stomach drop at what was actually in it, you already understand exactly why we exist.

Quick answers

Who founded LoveArth?

Rohit Dandwani, an actor who moved to Mumbai for a film role and struggled to find affordable, honestly-labelled healthy food while training for it.

Why was LoveArth started?

After discovering a "healthy" breakfast cereal contained far more sugar per pack than expected — the moment that led to building a brand where the label matches what's inside.

Does LoveArth have a family history beyond 2019?

Yes — LoveArth operates under Laxmi Industries, founded by Rohit's grandfather in 1965, based in Nashik, Maharashtra.

Read the label. That's really the whole philosophy.
